Lady Gaga and Lance Bass are among the
openly LGBT celebrities accepting the ice bucket challenge in support
of the ALS Association.
The group's #IceBucketChallenge helps
raise awareness and funds to help in the fight to find a cure for
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, a neurodegenerative disease.

Former 'NSyncer Lance Bass accepted the
challenge from Nick Swisher and dared Darren Criss, Joey Fatone and
Miranda Sings to follow his lead.
Australian recording artist Iggy Azalea
– who recently declared she's not
a fake lesbian – accepted the challenge from Jennifer Lopez.
Erin Fleming, associate director of the
ALS Association, told The Washington Post that its campaign
“has certainly succeeded” in raising awareness and money.
Actor James Franco, a strong ally for
gay rights, created a
racy video for the challenge. As he got doused in ice water,
Franco gyrated a bit holding nothing but a small yellow sign over his
private parts. He nominated Zack Braff, Joey King and Keegan Allen
to the #IceBucketChallenge.
