Peter LaBarbera Claims Gay Rights Supporters Are 'Doing To Us What Nazis Did To Jews'

Anti-gay activist Peter LaBarbera, president of the Illinois-based Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), has compared gay rights supporters to Nazis.

In the course of discussing the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) Export of Hate campaign, and his inclusion in it, with Janet Mefferd, LaBarbera claimed gay rights supporters are “doing to us what the Nazis did to the Jews.”

LaBarbera is quoted in the HRC report as saying, “When you have two men raising a young child, that child grows up learning dysfunction and a sexual perversion as normal.”

LaBarbera suggested to Mefferd that appearing in the report left him vulnerable to attacks.

“We have to trust God to protect us,” he said.

“This demonization is just – it's what's been done to minorities [in] the past and like I said, it's what the Nazis did to the Jews,” LaBarbera said. “We're losing our freedoms.”
