YouTube personality Ingrid Nilsen was
brought to tears by the warm reception she received at VidCon,
roughly a month after coming out gay.
The 26-year-old came out in a video
titled Something I Want You To Know (Coming Out).
“I love you guys,” an emotional
Nilsen said Friday as she participated in a panel for LGBT YouTube
stars.
“This feels amazing. This is why I
have two pockets full of tissues. It feels absolutely incredible. I
just feel like I am giving all of myself now,” she told thousands
of fans.
Other YouTube celebrities who have come
out this year include Joey Graceffa, Shane Dawson and Connor Franta.
Nilsen's YouTube channel – where she
posts videos about fashion and beauty – boasts more than 3 million
subscribers.
She said being out would not change her
content.
“Being lesbian is a part of who I am,
but there are so many parts of who I am,” Nilsen told the AP.
