Michele Bachmann's husband Marcus Bachmann's clinic on Thursday was the setting for a unique protest featuring Lady Gaga's gay anthem Born This Way.

About 100 protesters lined up outside one of the Christian counseling centers run by Mr. Bachmann. The clinics have been accused of attempting to “cure” gay people of their sexuality, a claim Mr. Bachmann has denied.

Mr. Bachmann had earlier said, referring to gay people, that “barbarians” needed to be “educated” and “disciplined.”

The barbarians, led by activist Nick Espinosa, choreographed an intricate dance routine to Born This Way which included Espinosa, playing the role of Marcus Bachmann, being doused with glitter, a reference to an earlier incident in which Espinosa showered GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich with gay glitter. Other anti-gay rights candidates, including Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, have also been glitter bombed.

It was not certain if either Bachmann was inside the clinic at the time of the protest.
