Ellen DeGeneres, Neil Patrick Harris, Sam Smith, Adam Lambert and Matt Bomer were among the out celebrities who tweeted Christmas wishes.
Singer Adam Lambert shared a tweet with his followers from Queen guitarist Brian May: “Merry Christmas Adam ! Bri.”
Lambert also posted an Instagram photo of himself on Christmas Day titled Holiday Swirl (pictured).
“Merry Christmas from my family to yours!” White Collar star Matt Bomer messaged. “Wishing everyone a peaceful and happy holiday with the ones you love. XO.”
Ellen DeGeneres wrote: “Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope your day is filled with warmth and love. Now stop reading tweets in the pantry and go be with your family.”
DeGeneres also tweeted a photo of herself photoshopped into a scene from the holiday classic It's a Wonderful Life.
“MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL MY BEAUTIFUL FANS,” singer Sam Smith said. “I hope you're already stuffed & drunk xxxx.”
Recently married Lance Bass said he hoped “everyone has an incredible day surrounded by love!”
Neil Patrick Harris added: “Merry Christmas Eve! Hope your night is filled with love – whether it be by romance, friendship, or random circumstance. 'Tis the season!”
