Hollywood screenwriter Dustin Lance
Black praises his future husband, British Olympic diver Tom Daley, in
a revealing new interview.
Black and Daley announced their
engagement this week in the Times of London's Births,
Marriages and Deaths section.
Daley, 21, who came out bisexual in a
2013 YouTube video, and Black, 41, started dating in the summer of
that year.
“I met someone who completely gets
me,” Black told Defining
Marriage
host Matt Baume. “I definitely know that we're better for
having each other. We dream bigger. Things seem so much more
possible together. Two and a half years in and it still feels like
every day is a dream.”
On marriage equality, Black, a vocal
advocate, said: “There's power in the word, that the word is
understood by society and it means that when you say 'I'm married' or
getting married, it's a promise you make to the person you love, and
I think that promise creates so … much potential, and is understood
by so many people.”
