Sherry Vine will launch an online
television network geared to the LGBT community on Sunday, February
14, Valentine's Day.
Vine, a New York-based drag queen, is
best known for his parodies of popular songs and as host of the here
TV variety series She's Living For This.
According to the Huffington
Post, the network, titled gaySVTVworld, will launch with
eight programs on Vine's official YouTube
channel. Former here TV executive Josh Rosenzweig is
collaborating with Vine to produce content for the network.
“We're offering short content so
people can view several episodes in the same amount of time as one
traditional TV show,” Vine said in a press release. “Maybe you
only have five free minutes on your way to work or during a lunch
break.”
YouTuber Chris Semers will join Vine on
a talk show titled Sherry and the Greek.
A show titled Fashion Phuleez is
described as “The Rachel Zoe Show-meets-Project Runway.”
The network will also feature a weekly short film.
Other offerings include EduGAYtion,
which will take a look at pop culture news, and What's in Your
Purse?, a woman-on-the-street segment where unsuspecting people
will be asked to reveal the contents of their purses.
