Singer Demi Lovato was honored for her LGBT rights advocacy at Saturday's 27th annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles.
Nick Jonas presented Lovato with the group's Vanguard Award, which is “presented to artists and media professionals who, through their work, have increased the visibility and understanding of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.”
“What people don't know about me is I know that you all love Nick Jonas. But I actually have a bigger dick than he does. And a huge set of balls,” Lovato joked to applause and catcalls from the audience and Jonas, who was standing nearby.
In accepting the award, Lovato said she wanted her fans to know that they should always love themselves for who they are.
“Just go for it. You can do it. Have no fear. You can do it,” she encouraged her fans.
Lovato is a strong advocate for marriage equality and she played a lesbian love interest for the character played by Naya Rivera on the fifth season of Fox's Glee.
Actress-model Ruby Rose was also honored at Saturday's event, while Caitlyn Jenner and Jazz Jennings shared an award, and director Lilly Wachowski made her first public appearance.
Logo on Monday will broadcast a one-hour special on Saturday's event.
