Actor Matt Damon says Michael Douglas has been teasing him about their kissing scenes in the upcoming Liberace biopic.
The 66-year-old Douglas is preparing to play flamboyant pianist Liberace opposite Damon, who'll play the part of Scott Thorson, Liberace's alleged lover.
Acclaimed director Steven Soderbergh will direct the film based on a script by Richard LaGravenese, which is based on Thorson's book Behind the Candelabra (My Life With Liberace.)
Filming is expected to begin next summer, and Damon told CNN's Piers Morgan that Douglas has been teasing him about their on-screen romance.
“Is it true you're sexting Michael Douglas, who plays Liberace?” Morgan asked.
“Well, the last time I saw Michael is the Golden Globes,” Damon answered. “I turned around, I didn't know he was there, and I saw him, I looked at him and he just looked at me. He goes, 'Get your Chapstick ready.'”
The 40-year-old Damon added that he was looking forward to the film: “It's two great roles for us and we're both looking forward to it.” (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page.)
