Christina Aguilera will inaugurate The Abbey's Gay Walk of Fame at the legendary bar's highly-anticipated grand re-opening on Wednesday night.
The West Hollywood bar and eatery will honor Aguilera for her positive contributions to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
Aguilera will place her hands and feet in cement outside the storied watering hole in a ceremony scheduled to begin at 8PM.
Earlier this month, the singer's Beautiful topped a poll of most empowering LGBT songs.
The poll, which was conducted by the UK gay rights group Stonewall, asked respondents which track of the last decade they felt had the most empowering message.
Thirty-three percent gave their nod to Aguilera's 2003 hit.
In the video for Beautiful, two men kiss and hold hands in public. (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page.)
In acknowledging the honor, Aguilera said “my gay fan base is so important to me and this continues my special relationship with them.”
In a recent It Gets Better video, two Columbus, Ohio choirs joined to dedicate their rendition of the song to troubled lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender teens.
