Televangelist Pat Robertson on Tuesday
weighed in on a controversial measure in Arizona.
Opposition to a bill which allows
individuals and businesses to refuse service based on their religious
beliefs has exploded since passage on Thursday.

“What we're looking at here is a
basic fundamental right of American people to conduct their business
in ways they want to as long as it doesn't hurt somebody else,”
Robertson told 700 Club viewers.
“There's something un-American about
forcing a bakery to bake a wedding cake for a couple they don't like.
If they don't like the people, that's the way it is,” he said,
alluding to several cases in which bakers have cited their faith in
refusing to serve gay couples.
“This is ridiculous that they would
force them to do anything else,” he added. (The video is embedded
