Doug Gotterba, who claims to have dated
actor John Travolta for six years, says the star's 'sexual appetite
was insatiable.'
Gotterba, 62, told grocery store
tabloid the National Enquirer that he and Travolta, 58, were
an item in the 1980s.
According to Gotterba, who reportedly
worked as Travolta's personal pilot, Travolta also wanted to “make
a sex tape” and “enjoyed cavorting with multiple male partners at
a time.”
Gotterba told the paper that he asked
Travolta about his sexual orientation shortly after he married
actress Kelly Preston in 1992.
“They'd just gotten back from the
Church of Scientology's Celebrity Center in Hollywood when I arrived
and John asked me to go with him for a walk on the beach. We were
making small talk when suddenly, I blurted out, 'So, John, tell me.
Now that you're married, do you still prefer men – or women?' He
looked me straight in the eye and said, 'Well, Doug, I still prefer
men.' I said, 'Okay.' And that's the last time we saw each other.”
Gotterba's allegations come just months
after several male masseurs came forward claiming that Travolta
had attempted to initiate sex with them. Travolta's lawyers have
denied these allegations.
