Pastor Gordon Godfrey, Jr. of the
Marcus Pointe Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida claims Sam
Champion, Lady Gaga and the ABC hit comedy Modern Family are
promoting a “gay lifestyle.”
During his Sunday, February 17th
sermon, Godfrey said children are being “bombarded with propaganda,
with un-truth that the quote gay lifestyle is a normal lifestyle.”
“Modern Family, I never watch
that show. I've seen it, I know what it's about, I won't watch it.
If you think about it folks, what they want you to do is they want
you laugh at the gay lifestyle. Not laugh at it, as in making fun,
but they want you to laugh along with them. Because what that does
is that breaks down barriers. When you laugh with someone and you
enjoy yourself with someone, it breaks down a barrier toward that
person, or toward that lifestyle.”
“When they showed Sam Champion
marrying a man on Good Morning America, I just about fell out
of my chair. I had no idea that that's what he was. It just blew me
away,” Godfrey
said.
“Students … are being poured that
into their brains.”
“You ever hear of a singer named Lady
