Openly gay singer-songwriter Eli Lieb
has teamed up with Allstate Insurance on the Gay Pride campaign
#OutHoldingHands.
The campaign puts a new spin on
Allstate's “You're in good hands” promise.
“For many in the LGBT community, the
simple act of holding hands with a loved one in public can result in
judgment or unwanted attention,” the insurance giant said in a
statement announcing the campaign.
Lieb wrote an original song titled Safe
in My Hands to promote the campaign, which encourages people to
share photos and videos from LGBT Pride Month with the hashtag
#OutHoldingHands.
A 90-second animated video for the
track shows a young man facing discrimination and ridicule. In the
video's final frames, the animation dissolves and Lieb and the man
are seen walking hand-in-hand.
The video ends with the tag line:
“Being visible should never leave you feeling vulnerable. Everyone
deserves to be in good hands.” (The video is embedded on this
page. Visit
our video library for more videos.)
