Tickets for the Chicago White Sox's
second annual LGBT Pride Night are now on sale.
Out at the Sox: LGBT Pride Night will
be held on Saturday, August 16 as the White Sox face the Toronto Blue
Jays.
A portion of select tickets sold will
benefit Equality Illinois, the state's largest LGBT rights advocate.
“The White Sox are happy to welcome
Equality Illinois to the ballpark for the organization's now annual
fundraiser,” Christine O'Reilly, senior director of community
relations, said in an emailed statement. “We are proud to offer
this type of opportunity at the ballpark for non-profit groups that
are making a positive impact in our community.”
“We are building a new tradition with
our second year of Out at the Sox,” Equality Illinois CEO Bernard
Cherkasov said. “We appreciate the involvement of the Sox
organization in welcoming fans not only for this special LGBT Pride
Night but throughout the baseball season.”
Admission to a pregame mixer at Crew
Bar & Grill, Chicago's premiere sports bar for the gay community,
is included with the purchase of a $45 ticket.
