Out actress Ellen Page has described
GOP presidential candidates Texas Senator Ted Cruz and former
Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee as “homophobic.”
“To me, it seems like they're
homophobic people.” Page said in an interview with the Daily
Beast.
Last month, Page confronted Cruz about
his stance on LGBT rights at the Iowa State Fair.

“I've seen multiple videos and read
multiple quotes of Ted Cruz discussing gay issues, as well as Mike
Huckabee, and it goes exactly as you'd expect,” Page said.
“They don't answer the question.
They say you're cutting them off when you try to ask the same
question again because you're answering it, because the reality is
that they might be homophobic.”
Page is currently promoting her
upcoming film Freeheld, in which she stars opposite Julianne
Moore as a lesbian couple fighting for their rights in New Jersey.
