Out actor Matt Bomer says raising three
boys with his husband Simon Halls is the “greatest gift” he's
been given.
Bomer, 37, is best known for playing
con artist Neal Caffrey in USA Network's White Collar and a
male stripper in the Magic Mike films. He plays one of the
Countess' (played by Lady Gaga) lovers in the new season of American
Horror Story: Hotel, which premiered Wednesday on FX.
In an interview with men's fashion
glossy Details,
Bomer was asked about being a father.
“It's great,” he said. “It's the
greatest gift I've ever been given. It's the most challenging thing
I've ever been thrown. It's something that keeps both of us on our
toes every day, especially with three boys, but it's the best thing
that's ever happened to me.”
Bomer was also asked about the “status
of openly gay actors in Hollywood today?”
“I think it's great,” he answered.
“It's amazing what I've seen happen, especially in the past five
years. There is a generation growing up now that blows my mind in
terms of the equanimity that they bring to every conversation that I
have with them and every situation that I'm in with them. There's an
entire generation of artists coming up who don't really care what
your personal life is. They want to know what you're going to bring
to the material. So, I'm very optimistic and hopeful when it comes
to the future.”
