Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were
honored Friday at the 11th annual GLSEN Respect Awards at
the Regent Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, California.
GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian & Straight
Education Network, works to create a safe space in schools for
children who are or may be perceived to be gay, lesbian, bisexual or
transgender.
Timberlake and Biel were presented with
the group's Inspiration Award.
“Even with all the trouble in our
world today, this movement clearly is winning,” Timberlake told the
crowd, “and it's going to keep on winning.”
“Always forgive your enemies,” Biel
quoted Oscar Wilde in ending her remarks. “Nothing annoys them so
much.”
Also honored was out actor Zachary
Quinto, who received GLSEN's Champion Award.
