Author-activist-actor Chaz Bono will
guest star next month on the CBS daytime drama The Bold and the
Beautiful.
The 46-year-old Bono will play a
minister on two episodes of the show to air March 31 and April 1,
PEOPLE
reported.
“I'm very excited to have been cast
in a role on The Bold and the Beautiful,” Bono told the
magazine. “I'm grateful that they are willing to pay me to do
something I love, which is to act.”
Appearing this week on OWN's Oprah:
Where Are They Now?, Bono told host Oprah Winfrey that looking at
photos of himself before he transitioned was “painful.”

The Bold and the Beautiful
currently has a transgender storyline. Last year, fashion model Maya
Avante (played by Karla Mosley) came out transgender. And
transgender actor Scott Turner Schofield joined the cast in May,
making him the first transgender actor to play a major, recurring
role on a daytime drama.
