Fashion designer Jason Wu married his
longtime partner Gustavo Rangel in Mexico over the weekend.
Wu and Rangel tied the knot beachside
Friday in Tulum, Mexico.
Wu, who was born in Taiwan and is
currently based in New York, is best known for designing gowns for
First Lady Michelle Obama and Christine Chow, the Republic of China's
first lady. Wu designed dresses for Obama for several events,
including for the first and second inaugurations of President Barack
Obama. Other clients include Ivana Trump and RuPaul.
Celebrity guests included actress Diane
Kruger, fashion blogger Bryanboy and jewelry designer Jennifer
Fisher, Women's
Wear Daily reported.
The wedding festivities included
pinatas, hot shirtless men and an excursion to the Tulum ruins,
according to various online posts.
Wu and Rangel, the CFO of Wu's label,
reportedly have been together 10 years.
