Out actor Murray Bartlett has joined
the cast of Nashville.
Bartlett will have a recurring role
playing Jakob Fine, a “very handsome, charismatic and successful
men's fashion designer,” Deadline
Hollywood reported.
Bartlett, 45, most recently played Dom
Basaluzzo for two season on HBO's gay drama Looking. Looking
ended earlier this year with a made-for-television movie.

star Jonathan Groff calls Murray Bartlett “a great kisser.”)
Other television credits include stints
on US daytime soap operas All My Children and Guiding
Light. The Australian-born actor also appeared on the Australian
prime-time soap Home and Away.
Transgender
actress Jen Richards is also joining the cast in season 5.
ABC canceled the country music drama in
May after four seasons. Roughly a month later, CMT announced that it
would broadcast the show's fifth season, consisting of 22 episodes.
