Out comedian Wanda Sykes over the
weekend was booed for calling President-elect Donald Trump a racist
and a homophobe.
The incident occurred during the 22nd
annual Comics Come Home fundraiser in Boston.
“After the election, I was going
around consoling people. I was telling everybody, it's going to be
okay. I am certain this is not the first time we've elected a
racist, sexist, homophobic president,” Sykes told the audience.
“He ain't the first one. He's just the first confirmed one.”
Instead of laughter, Sykes got booed.
“Fuck you, motherfuckers,” Sykes
responded, pointing a finger at the audience. “Fuck all y'all.
Fuck all y'all. Fuck you, you, you, you, you, and you. All of
y'all.”
“The evidence is there. How can you
say he's not racist? Grab them by the pussy? How can you say he's
not sexist? How can you say he's not racist? How you can say he's
not homophobic?”
Sykes went on to finish her set. As
she exited the stage, the booing returned and Sykes flipped the crowd
the middle finger.
The Comics Come Home benefit raises
funds for the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care.
