Clay Aiken is back on the market after
he split from Broadway star Reed Kelly, celebrity blogger Perez
Hilton (PerezHilton.com) reported Saturday.
Appearing with his newborn son Parker
Foster Aiken on the cover of People magazine in 2008, Aiken
came out gay. The headline read: “Yes, I'm Gay.” Friend and
music producer Jaymes Foster carried Aiken's son after being
artificially inseminated.
Aiken and Kelly reportedly began dating
soon after his coming out, as the pop star took to the Broadway stage
in the Tony Award-winning musical Monty Python's Spamalot.
Kelly appeared in the Broadway
production of Wicked and is the face of suit-maker Hickey
Freeman.
According to Hilton, Kelly
altered his MySpace status to “single” over the weekend and
said he was listening to the Christina Aguilera break-up song You
Lost Me.
In 2003, Aiken wowed fans on Fox's
American Idol singer talent contest, where he won runner up.
Since then, the pop star has churned out multiple best-selling
albums.
Aiken released his latest album Tried
and True in June.
