The always outrageous Scissor
Sisters will open Lady GaGa's third North American leg of her
Monster Ball Tour, GagaDaily.com
first reported.
Scissor Sisters will join Lady
GaGa in Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall on February 19 after the
Alejandro singer takes a much needed two-month break.
The group kicked off their campy Fairy
Tale Tour last month in Atlanta to rave reviews. Spin
Magazine said the show was “the Scissor Sisters at their
best.”
Scissor Sisters' third studio
album, Night Work, has been described as the band's gayest
yet.
“Before they were suggestive; now
they're as straightforward as possible with homosexuality in all its
forms,” Sputnikmusic.com
said.
Members of the Scissor Sisters
insist the group is not a gay band, but its three openly gay members,
Jake Shears, Babydaddy and Del Marquis, have clearly influenced its
music. Tracks often deal with themes that resonate with the lesbian,
gay, bisexual and transgender community.
Lady GaGa's tweets welcomed users to
Apple's newly minted social network Ping. Omitted
from her feed, however, were her pro-gay marriage tweets.
