Trevor Donovan's Teddy Montgomery will
marry his new beau in the first five episodes of the upcoming season
of 90210?
In season three of the CW's nighttime
teenage drama, Teddy came out gay, romanced two boys – Marco,
played by Freddie Smith and Ian, played by Kyle Riabko – and had
another quick fling during spring break.
But when producers of the show
announced Donovan's involvement in the upcoming season would be
limited and Smith
traded in high school for a grown up role playing gay on the NBC
daytime soap Days of Our Lives, it was assumed Donovan's
character was being phased out.
Yet on Thursday, celebrity blogger
Perez
Hilton reported that Teddy and his new beau Shane, played by Ryan
Rottman, will marry in Las Vegas.
Gay
male entertainment website AfterElton.com, however, suggested the
couple wasn't marrying for real (gay marriage is not legal in
Nevada).
“It's really more of a 'mock' wedding
done by Teddy's friends as a way of showing they support and accept
both him and the idea of gay marriage,” the site wrote.
